Double VPN (multi-hop)

Double VPN (Multi-hop) is an advanced feature that routes your internet traffic through two separate, consecutive VPN servers instead of just one.

Your data is encrypted on your device and sent to the first VPN server. This server encrypts the data again and changes your visible IP address to its own. The twice-encrypted data is then forwarded to a second VPN server (often in a different country). This second server decrypts the outer layer and assigns a second, final IP address before sending your traffic to its final online destination.

The first server knows your real IP address, but not your final destination. The second (exit) server knows your final destination, but only sees the IP address of the first VPN server, not your real one. This separation of data and destination, combined with double-layer encryption, makes it exponentially harder for any third party to trace your activity back to your original source.
