The Own Browser feature provides a dedicated, purpose-built web environment designed to complement and secure your VPN connection from browser-based vulnerabilities.

While a VPN encrypts your connection, your regular web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.) can still leak identifying information through several means, including:

• Browser Fingerprinting: Websites can collect unique data points (like screen size, hardware, fonts, and plug-ins) from your browser to create a unique identifier, even when your IP is masked.
• Persistent Cookies and Cache: Existing tracking files from previous sessions can compromise your anonymity.
• WebRTC/DNS Defaults: Although you have protection features, using a secure browser ensures these systems are correctly configured and enforced from the start.
