Port Forwarding is a networking technique that creates a direct, selective opening in the VPN’s server-side firewall. This opening directs specific, pre-assigned inbound traffic to your device, even though your real IP address is hidden.
While Port Forwarding enhances functionality, it is crucial to understand the trade-off: It creates a controlled entry point into your system that bypasses the VPN’s default traffic filtering.
